Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer has always wanted to be a multi-tasking superstar. In her youth she played a myriad of musical genres, mainly Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue, bachata and merengue, as well as mainstream music like hip-hop, pop and R&B. She was a lover of music, but was fascinated by the film industry. West Side Story (1961) the musical by Rita Moreno that inspired her the most, was also her greatest influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer was also an entertainer and Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years at Holy Family Catholic elementary school in The Bronx. After a four-year stay, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. Jennifer is a gifted athlete who participated in the track and field as well as tennis in school, was an excellent student. The Castle Hill neighbourhood was her home for most of her time. Jennifer was forced to leave her house at age turned 18 and moved in with her parents. Lopez worked at a law office at the time while performing dance at night.
